Region: Languedoc / Roussillon
Grape: Carignan, Grenache, Mourvedre
Viticulture: Biodynamic Farming
Les Clos Perdu is an estate that began in 2003 from a parcel of mature yet neglected vines nurtured back to life across the hillsides of the Languedoc and Roussillon. All farming is done organically and biodynamically. The emphasis here is on the land, earth, spice, refinement and a near invisible use of old oak barrels to bring a little textural levity to the wines.
Blending 50% Carignan, 35% Grenache and 15% Mourvedre results in dark berry fruits and balsamic aromas. An amazing powerful red that has a very long finish and pairs perfectly with a steak.
