The Foillard vineyards sit next to the famed hillside of Cote du Py in the Morgon appellation of Beaujolais. This is 100% Gamay frown organically and biodynamically (not certified). The Domaine stopped using chemicals in the vineyard in the 1980's when Jean Foillard took over from his father. From early on Jean led the way in the region striping back the wine making techniques to low intervention. The result is a pure example of the amazing terroir that these old vines are grown on.
A slightly more youthful style than Foillard Cote du Py but still amazing complex. Cherries and blackberries with hints of chocolate and a super long finish.
