Wine making: Pinot Gris grapes go through 12 hours of skin-contact maceration, then are gently pressed. The wine ferments and ages in Steel tanks until it get's bottled.
An amazing expression of Pinot Gris. The skin contact on this gives it a deeper colour and a brings out the spice notes. All grapefruit and ripe, white stone fruit.
Now ran by Janko and Tamara this winery has been around since 1672. Kmetija Stekar is midway between the Pre-Julian Alps and the Adriatic Sea in Goriska Brda. Perfectly positioned vineyards on steep slopes as they are well protected from the cold winds coming from the North.
