Three of our favourite reds. All natural wines from amazing small producers.
Strekov 1075, Portugal, Slovakia - Natural red wine made from the Blauer Portugeiser grapes. This is wine of serious quality! Pure amazing winemaking using a very unpopular variety and turning it into a showstopper. Bursting with red fruits with an underlying forest floor note. Super long finish.
Jean Foillard, Morgon, Cote du Py, 2018, France, Beaujolais - Amazing Gamay from natural wine master Jean Foillard. It's complex and full of strawberries, candied cherries and earthy, mineral undertones. Silky tannins and a very long finish. Perfect to drink now but will also age well for 5/6 years.
Bencze Birtok, Pinot Noir, 2018, Hungary, Badascony - Made naturally from biodynamic Pinot Noir. Fresh, juicy and vibrant Pinot Noir. Fruit forward with herbaceous notes. Unbelievably good wine that would compete with the best Pinot! Made from the pioneer of natural winemaking in Hungary, István Bencze.
