Poggio Anima is a collaboration between famed Brunello di Montalcino producer Campinoti and his importer from Vine Street Imports Ronni Sanders. The aim? To create great wines at low prices.

The Primitivo grapes are taken from vineyards in San Pietro in the Taranto province of Puglia. They are close to the sea with the breezes acting as air conditioners which is essential in this hot part of Italy. The grapes spend 7 months in 15% new French Oak barrels.

Medium to full bodied packed with smokey notes, dried cherries and pepper. Lots of cassis on the nose and red cherry on the palate. Well integrated tannins with a long finish. Tastes like you are drinking something a lot more expensive than £10!
