Ben grew up on a farm in the Lincolnshire Wolds, where early exposure to rural life shaped his approach to wine. His passion deepened at 22 after visiting a biodynamic vineyard in Burgundy. Walgate Wines aims to produce some of England’s finest wines through a slow, respectful process that blends traditional and modern techniques. Sourcing grapes from top growers in southeast England, they focus on wines that express place and integrity while operating in ways that support environmental, cultural, social, and economic sustainability.
