Viticulture: Biodynamic farming / Natural Winemaking
Vinification: Manual harvest grapes are fermented in large oak barrels with wild yeast. Matured in 12hl barrels. Malolactic fermentation takes place. Unfined and unfiltered. Small amount of SO2 at bottling.
Straw yellow with hints of fresh herbs, delicate citrus tones, notes of green apple and white pepper on the nose. The palate is mineral, pure and delicate with a vibrant freshness. Lovely character of a natural wine but also very stable. Still tastes good after being open for 5 days.
The Arndorfer family are a perfect example of artisan and natural wine producers. The soil is at the heart of what they do, farming organically, biodynamically and lovingly. They create wines using grapes that grow perfectly within the region and express the terroir of Kamptal. The wine making is raw and minimal with very little or no sulphur and no fining or filtration.
