Hand picked. Carbonic maceration in a 510-hectolitre concrete tank for 11 days, followed by gentle, extended pressing to extract delicate aromas and textures. Maturation lasted 6 months prior to bottling, with no added sulfite and no filtration. Organic and Biodynamic certified. Yield of 45 hectoliters. The debut vintage of Gamette, 2022, saw warmth tempered by mid-August rain, allowing grapes to mature without overripening.
Notes of red currant, cherry and cassis, supple tannins makes this a fresh and vibrant.
The vineyards are planted at high density on volcanic terroir (granite). The grapes are from two parcels of young vines (2.5 hectares total, aged 6 to 9 years) at 480 meters altitude around the estate.
