Merlots, sometimes, tend to get weighty and lack freshness, but this is so much more than that. A bright red fruit character, with superb vibrancy and freshness on the wine.
Now ran by Janko and Tamara this winery has been around since 1672. Kmetija Stekar is midway between the Pre-Julian Alps and the Adriatic Sea in Goriska Brda. Perfectly positioned vineyards on steep slopes as they are well protected from the cold winds coming from the North.
