Grapes: 100% Riesling
Vinification: Hand-harvested. Whole-bunch pressed with the juice settled overnight before ambient fermentation using indigenous yeasts. Matured in old oak barrels for 9 months to build texture and complexity while preserving freshness. Unfiltered and unfined, with minimal sulphur addition and no chaptalisation since 1998, allowing the vineyard character to shine with precision and purity.
Tasting note and best served with:
A powerful yet finely detailed Riesling with golden highlights and layered aromas of limestone pebbles, grilled hazelnuts, tobacco, rum spice and nutmeg. The palate is dry, dense and intensely mineral, driven by citrus zest, salinity and taut freshness through a remarkably long finish. Best served with smoked fish, langoustines, terrines or delicate fish carpaccio.

Domaine Pierre Frick is a twelve-generation family estate in Alsace managed by Jean-Pierre, Chantal and Thomas Frick. A pioneering force in biodynamic viticulture since the early 1980s, the domaine is celebrated for its uncompromising natural approach, relying on indigenous fermentations, hand harvesting and minimal intervention to express the essence of each vineyard site.
The Grand Cru Steinert vineyard lies on the steepest slopes south of Pfaffenheim, with an eastern exposure that captures the cool morning light. Its dry, highly draining limestone soils produce Rieslings of remarkable tension, salinity and mineral depth. Combined with the warm, sunny Alsace climate, Steinert delivers wines of concentration, structure and striking longevity.
