Country: France
Region: Corbieres, Languedoc
Grape: Carignan, Grenache, Syrah
Viticulture: Organic Farming / Natural Wine
Wine making: handpicked grapes are blended together with the majority being Carignan. Native yeasts used with no fining and no added sulphur.
Dark-ruby in colour. Notes of thyme, rosemary and black cherry with a hint of wood.
The estate has been around since 1896 with Carignan being planted first. This has always been the grape that they have championed despite the 1970's Syrah hype. It's hot and dry but they get plenty of wind to slow the ripening. Clay-limestone soils.
