Country: Italy
Region: Abruzzo
Grape: Trebbiano
Viticulture: Sustainable Farming / Low Intervention
Stainless steel fermentation helping to keep all the bright fresh flavours of the Trebbiano grapes. Lots of apples and pears on the nose with crisp minerality but a lovely roundness on the palate. Perfect all rounder to go with food or on it's own.
The Frentana Winery has been a staple wine cooperative since the 1960s in Abruzzo on Italy's north-eastern coast. Their cellar is situated in Rocca San Giovanni just below the Maiella massif. Here the soils are limetone and calcereous and are combined with gentle coastal breezes from the Adriatic to make the perfect growing conditions for vines.
