One of our favourite producers, Loxarel based in the basin of the Alt Penedes in Spain. Since 1985 Joseph Miltans took over the rains of what was a commercial vineyard overworked to produce vast amounts of fruit. Today it is farmed biodynamically with the winery using only natural techniques. They put the environment at the heart of everything they do. Garnacha Blanca and Xarel-lo are harvested by hand followed by wild yeast fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel vats. 1 month aging on fine lees before cold settling and bottling with minimal sulphites.
Loxarel, Amaltea is dry and clean packed full of pears and stone fruits. Well rounded and perfectly balanced citrus acidity.
